Baylee Taylor is a freelance artist who specializes in digital and traditional portraiture and illustration. She was trained in traditional media using classical techniques including contour line, negative space, and gesture. Her style of work includes realism and animation using pencil, wet media, or chalk as well as their digital equivalents using “Procreate“ on an Ipad Pro. Recently, Baylee has upgraded her materials and now works on a Cintiq Pro using the industry standard software Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and more!
Baylee’s main source of inspiration for her illustrations stems from her interest in film and animation. Disney had the biggest impact on her will to draw and a major influence on her style. During the time she spent at her local community college, Baylee was taught the fundamentals of her craft ranging from graphic design and color theory to oils and pastel chalks. However, she particularly enjoys creating digital pieces with bright vivid colors featuring different characters of her own imagination. A popular recurring piece is a cartooned version of herself being portrayed in different humorous situations.
Now, she hopes to apply what she has learned and successfully build a business in creativity and inspire other artists along the way.
